There were some really good scores today, Mark Sciberras followed up his winning streak from Sunday and today played really well to have a 73 off the stick, his 73-8-65 to go with his 82-8-74 last week for a total of 139, winning on a countback from Bill Dodd who last week had 89-20-69 and today 90-20-70 a total of 139 also. Congratulations Mark. Ladies winner was Gini Dalton with 92-19-73. Nearest the pins were Len Fouracre on the 4th and Barry Murphy on the 9th. Balls were handed to Peter Cameron - 70, Bill Dodd - 70, Barry Murphy - 71 and Glen Jacobs - 71. Saturday is 9.30 for 10am Shotgun start, the Annual General Meeting will follow golf, starting at 3.30 pm.

Todays winner was Pat Clohesy (16) with 34 points from Paul Moore (25) with 32 points. Peter Kewniuk (23) received a ball for 31 points on a countback from Tony Dibella and Peter Cameron. Nearest the pin on the 4th was Peter Cameron and nobody hit the green on the 9th.

Nearest the pins were Bernie Frith from Hepburn Springs on the 4th and Pat Clohesy on the 9th. Ball run down was Neil Watts (32) -3, Peter Cameron (14) -3 and Wesley Harris from Woodend (25) -4. Robyn MacRae was the ladies winner.

Today tuesday the ladies played stroke and those lucky ladies to have won a monthly medal throughout the year were playing off for the gold medal of medallists. Robyn MacRae was the lucky winner, she played really well to have a 98-24-74 from Denise Murphy with 90-15-75. Congratulations Robyn. The daily winners were, in A grade Denise Murphy with 90-15-75 from Lois Scott 100-22-78. B grade winner was Robyn MacRae with 98-24-74 from Jenny McSwain with 106-29-77. 08 October 2017DRUMMOND SPONSORED TRI-SERIES - KYNETON-WOODEND-TRENTHAM Today was the Annual Tri-Series day between Kyneton-Woodend -Trentham, sponsored by Drummond Golf Niddrie and Hoppers Crossing. Each club had a great representation, there were plenty of good scores. The ladies winner was Andrea Eacott from Woodend with 38 points from Mary Campbell from Trentham with 36 points. Nearest the pins were Robyn MacRae on the 4th and 9th, Gini Dalton on the 11th and Jenny McSwain on the 17th, the longest and the straightest drives were won by Lois Scott, all from Kyneton. The A grade mens winner was Mick Keating from Woodend with 36 points from Jesper Hansen from Kyneton with 35 points. B grade winner was Paul Whelan from Woodend with 40 points from Len Fouracre from Kyneton with 31 points. Nearest the pins were Alan Hopkins on the 4th, Mick Keating on the 11th and Frank DePetro on both the 9th and 17th, the longest drive was won by Jason MacClure from Kyneton. $800 was raised for the \'Golf for a Cause\' charity which raises funds for prostate and breast cancer research. Nearest the pins were Len Fouracre on the 4th, Adrian Hanks on the 9th, Mark Sciberras on the 11th, Trevor Glanfield on the 17th and second shot to the pin on the 18th was Adrian Hanks. The putting was won by Brad Cue. The super pin has jackpotted to $80. Balls were handed to Nick Williamson, Ivan Smolcic, Damien Summers, Terry Kot and Barry Keane.
04 October 20174BBB AGGREGATE. There were 21 players here today on a great Kyneton day for golf, and played a 4 Ball Best Ball Aggregate. The winners were Nick Williamson and Paul Robinson with 67 points from runners up Norm Cue and Glenn Jacobs with 65 points who received a ball. As there was an odd number, Norm Cue also played with Col Cooney and they had 64 points. Col Cooney received a ball also. Nearest the pins were Glenn Jacobs on the 4th and Mark Sciberras on the 9th. October\'s monthly medal winner was Lois Johnston, it was Lois\'s first medal since coming to Kyneton 4 or 5 years ago. A grade winner was Denise Murphy 89-15-74 from Lorraine Ryan 95-19-76. B grade and monthly medal winner was Lois Johnston 98-28-70 from Julie Harris 107-32-75. The 9 Hole competition winner was Sandra Turnbull (41) with 18 stableford points. Nearest the pins were Jenny McSwain on the 4th and Lois Scott on the 17th. Balls were handed to Lois Johnston, Denise Murphy, Julie Harris, Lorraine Ryan, Robyn MacRae, Gini Dalton and Grace Parkinson.
27 September 2017STABLEFORDToday 24 players played stableford, we had 6 visitors from Macedon Golf Club as their greens were being cored and our usual 2 visitors from Hepburn Tony Dibella (13) played his best round ever to finish with 44 points, from Bill Dodd (22) with a handy 38 points. Nearest the pins were Peter Cameron on the 4th and Ian Gill from Macedon on the 9th. Balls were won by Bernie Frith (Hepburn), Peter Walsh and Peter Cameron all on 36 points. Tony Dibella also had a good day at the Central Victorian Veterans on Monday at Heathcote, his score of 83-12-71 was the winner on the day.
26 September 2017STABLEFORD - ANNUAL VISIT FROM HEATHCOTE Tuesday was our turn to host the Heathcote ladies for a friendly Stableford round. We had a total of 21 players - 7 from Heathcote, and 14 of our own. It was a perfect day for golf - mild and sunny with no wind. The best Heathcote player today was Carol Stuart (19) 35 points, from Anne Bainbridge-Robb (22) 30. The Kyneton winner was Jenny McSwain (30) 34, from Rob MacRae (25) 32. NTP winners for Heathcote were Carol Stuart and Anne Bainbridge-Robb. Kyneton NTPs were won by Marian Orr and Ruth Booker. Balls were awarded to Carol Stuart (35), Jenny McSwain (34), Rob MacRae (32), Lois Johnston (31), Anne Bainbridge-Robb (30) and Ruth Booker (30). To Denise and Marg, who ran today\'s competition in my absence - well done and thank you. I hear that the lunch was delicious. Well done to all who contributed. I\'m sure our visitors enjoyed their day. A special mention here to Pauline Russell, who now has a handicap, and played 18 holes today -well done Pauline. LAST WEEK: none of us played away. NEXT WEEK: it seems that nobody will be playing away in the coming week. Next Tuesday October 3rd, we will be playing Stroke. The October medal will be decided, along with the 7th rounds of Putting and the Joan Kimberley Trophy. It represents the last chance this year to win a medal, and the last chance to qualify for the Medal Of Medallist playoff the following week, so best foot forward everyone. A REMINDER: if you wish to play in the Drummond Triseries event here at Kyneton on Sunday October 8th, you can put your name on the list beside the whiteboard in the club house, OK to pay on the day. Congratulations to Jason McClure who won his first Open Championship, the match was played over 36 holes, Jason defeated Nick Williamson 7/6. B Grade was played over 18 holes and Terry Gamble defeated Glen Jacobs 4/2. C grade was played over 18 holes and Trevor Glanfield defeated Len Fouracre on the 19th. The rest of the field played stableford. The winner was Ivan Smolcic (13) on 33 points on a countback from Graham Hackett (21) also on 33 points. Nearest the pins were David Bath on the 4th, Terry Kot on the 9th, Chris Kanaris on the 11th, Ivan Smolcic on the 17th and 2nd shot to the 18th was Mark Sciberras. The scores were indicitive of the heavy course after rain over the last month. The daily competition was stroke, A grade winner was Lois Scott with 101-21-80 from Deb Kohlman with 103-22-81. B grade winner was Robyn MacRae with 102-26-76 from Julie Harris with 111-33-78. Nearest the pins were Denise Murphy, Lois Johnston and Robyn MacRae. The winner of the Ruth Sievers Memorial Trophy (the best nett score over the 3 rounds of the Championships) is - Robyn MacRae 237 from Deb Kohlman and Jenny McSwain both on 238. B grade - Glen Jacobs defeated Jason Coley 6/5 Terry Gamble defeated Noel Alldis 3/2 Glen and Terry will play off over 18 holes next Saturday C Grade - Len Fouracre defeated Peter Kewniuk 1 up Trevor Glanfield defeated Graham Hackett 2up Len and Trevor will play off over 18 holes next Saturday. The rest of the field played Stableford There was a countback to determine the winner and Norm Cue (12) on 38 points defeated Peter Cameron (15) also on 38 points. 05 September 2017STROKE - 1st Round Ladies Chanmpionship & September Monthly Medal Today as we started out we were expecting rain, hail, snow, the works, it turned out to be a great day, although cold, we were not rained on until the last couple of holes, and then it was only drizzle. We played stroke for the 1st round of our Club Championships and the Monthly Medal. A grade winner was Denise Murphy 90-15-75 on a countback from Grace Parkinson 96-21-75 B grade winner was Robyn MacRae 103-26-77 from Jenny McSwain 110-30-80. As Denise and Grace both finished with a 75 nett, the playoff for the monthly medal will be played next tuesday.
