24 February 2018AMERICAN FOURSOMES Saturday was the Official Opening of the 2018 Calendar for the men. There were 44 players, 12 teams of men and 10 mixed teams. The winners of the mixed competition was Adrian Hanks and Denise Murphy with 80 - 9 1/2 - 70 1/2, from runners up Terry Gamble and Robyn MacRae 85 - 13 7/8 - 71 1/8. For the mens competition the winners were David Bath and Jing Biscocho with 76 - 13 1/8 - 62 7/8 from runners up Col Cooney and Bede Gibson with 85 - 14 1/4 - 70 3/4. Nearest the pins were Ross Martin and Gini Dalton on the 4th, David Bath on the 9th, Jason McClure and Maxine Martin on the 11th and Tony Dibella on the 17th. Super pin winner was Jason McClure.

20 February 2018STABLEFORD Today, tuesday the ladies played stableford in ideal golfing weather, although the scores indicated otherwise. The 9 hole competition was won by Vicki Hardwick (45) with 16 points and Vicki also won the nearest the pin. The A grade winner today was Judy Quick fresh back from a break (21) with 32 points from runner up Lorraine Ryan with 28 points on a countback from Grace Parkinson and Denise Murphy also on 28 points. The B grade winner was Lois Johnston (26) with 37 points from runner up Joan Gibbs (27) with 32 points. Nearest the pins were Judy Quick on the 4th and Jenny McSwain on the 9th. Balls were won by Lois Johnston, Judy Quick, Joan Gibbs and Ruth Booker.

B grade and Medal winner was Joan Gibbs (28) with 37 points from Jenny Kerr (45) with 30 points on a countback from Julie Harris and Jenny McSwain. 03 February 2018STROKE - MONTHLY MEDAL32 Players played on the course today, the weather was a great golf day, and lots good scores were posted. Vouchers for Medal day are donated by Drummonds Golf at Niddrie and they have generously given vouchers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all 3 grades. A grade and Medal winner was Jason McClure 73-6-67 (somebody is enjoying retirement) from runner up - Ross Martin 81-11-70 and 3rd was Jonah Harris 79-7-72. B grade winner was Col Cooney 87-18-69 from runner up Damien Summers 84-13-71 on a countback from in 3rd place Adrian Hanks 84-13-71. C grade winner was Frank Evans 94-24-70 from Bede Gibson 93-21-72 on a countback from in 3rd place David Stark 93-21-72. Balls were handed to Glen Jacobs, Peter Walsh, David Moore, Noel Alldis and Mark Sciberras. Nearest the pins were Ross Martin on the 4th, Jesper Hansen on the 9th, Jason McClure on the 11th, Ross Foreman on the 17th and 2nd shot to the 18th was Jonah Harris. Putting was won by Jason McClure with just 23 putts, and Jason with 4 Birdies was the lucky Super Pin winner of $40.

30 January 2018STABLEFORD A much better day today, nice and fresh after the 45+ mls rain, which the course would have appreciated with the new couching being done yesterday. The 18 hole competition today was won by Deb Kohlman (21) with 37 points. Jan Laidlaw (32) and Jenny McSwain (29) both had 28 points with Jan winning on a count back. Balls were awarded to Deb Kohlman, Jan Laidlaw and Jenny McSwain. Deb Kohlman won Nearest the Pin.

Winners were Noel Alldis (12) and Col O\'Sullivan (17) came in with 46 points from David Stark (21) and Jonah Harris (8) with 44 points. 23 December 2017Aggregate Stableford - Annual Presentation Day. 38 Players took to the course today. Winners were Terry Gamble - 37 points and Col Cooney - 38 points a total of 75. From Mark Russell - 41 points and Mark Sciberras - 31 points for a total of 72. On a countback from Chris Kanaris - 38 points and Norm Cue - 34 points also with a total of 72. Nearest the pins were David Bath on the 4th, Jason McClure on the 9th, Jesper Hansen on the 11th, David Scandrett on the 17th. The ladies nearest the pin winners were Robyn MacRae on the 9th and S. Todays winners were Glen Jacobs (12) and Robyn MacRae (23) with 47 points from runners up Col O\'Sullivan (19) and Noel Alldis (13) with 45 points. Chris Kanaris and Adrian Hanks received a ball for their 44 points. Nearest the pins were Chris Kanaris on the 4th, Adrian Hanks on the 9th and for the ladies, Gini Dalton on the 9th. On Saturday is the George Hall Mixed American Foursomes, it is a gold letter event, please organize someone to play with to make this event something special.
05 December 20172017 PRESENTATION DAY Today the ladies had their presentation day at the Albion Hotel where they enjoyed a fully caterer luncheon. A big thank you to Marissa and her wonderful staff for once again looking after us. A big thank you also to our sponsor David Sullivan for his input into this day for us, we are so lucky to have him in our corner. All the major trophies were presented to all the ladies. A big thank you also to retiring Captain Deb Kohlman for her tireless work over the last 2 years, incoming Captain Joan Gibbs will we are sure carry on the excellent work done by Deb. Also to President Grace, for her leadership and her control of the sometimes rabble she has to put up with we thank her also. Congratulations to all the recipients of all the trophies. We look forward to a next season which commences on Tuesday 9th January. There is a competition run each wednesday starting at 10am for anyone wishing to play competition or there are some of the ladies playing socially early on tuesday mornings.
